There is nothing more motivating than having your eyes opened by loving family members and friends who want you to get over your countless  months worth of writers block by sending you off to a wonderful Seminar such as that offered by Tracey McDonald and Alison Lowry. The Suitcase under the bed has proven to be a note-worthy experience that has not only provided me with useful statistics but also the insight into the workings of the publication world and what they actually do after receiving your book.

After dusting off my writing gear, I find myself quite rusty, like falling off a bicycle after years of riding, now what remains is only patience, practice and perseverance

So you are a budding author and you work on a number of desktops, laptops and mobile devices?

The best way to ensure that your novel doesn't get lost or corrupted when data is exchanged across devices is to:

1 - keep a hard copy of everything

2 - make sure that you have one main document and many duplicates

3 - save on CDs | DVDs, which are safer than USBs

It is the worst possible feeling to hit a wopping 80 k milestone word count only to have your main file corrupted.
